Industry Event: Speaking Role
MFC-EMN Annual Conference 2018
This year the conference titled People and the Digital Revolution: Advancing Our Social Mission through Technology will focus on the implications of the digital revolution on financial and social inclusion. We would like to explore how microfinance institutions can be proactive in embracing and making the most of technology to provide valuable opportunities for entrepreneurs, start-ups and social enterprises.
Upwards of 600 participants are expected to attend the conference this year from East and West Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus and even further afield. Representatives from financial institutions will be in attendance (banks and non-banking financial institutions, NGOs, investors, TA providers, European Commission representatives).
The conference is jointly organised by the Microfinance Centre (MFC) and the European Microfinance Network (EMN). The event will be a meeting of minds and ideas and will be the perfect opportunity for members and other industry experts to network, exchange experiences, learn from an impressive line-up of guests and even lay the groundwork for successful partnerships going forward.
➡Almost 500 microfinance practitioners, policy makers, financial inclusion experts, fintech enthusiasts and development officials from 39 countries have already registered for the Bilbao conference.
➡Over 20 interactive workshops and discussion sessions will bring together an interdisciplinary group of practitioners and technology enthusiast to discuss digital innovations in microfinance.
➡The event will also feature social investors and Fintech Marketplace, a special edition of the CEO Summit and the Gala Dinner at the world famous Guggenheim Museum with an option for each participant to visit the greatest collection of the contemporary art in the world!
