The Medical Credit Fund (MCF) is the first and only fund dedicated to providing loans to SMEs in the health sector in Africa. MCF works to reduce investment risks for health SMEs through an innovative, integrated approach that combines financing with technical assistance supporting business and quality improvement. During the first part of the Study Tour you will discover how MCF innovates financing for health SMEs in Africa. This part will feature an African fintech example, followed by a session on financing quality improvement and measuring the impact of healthcare investments. The second part of the tour will feature two live demo’s by industry experts on digital solutions for healthcare in Africa showing how people can access, save and pay for healthcare in Africa using their mobile phone, followed by a demo on digital result-based financing to improve maternal health.
