The SME Finance Forum in partnership with the CDC Group is organizing the 2017 IFI-DFI Working Group Meeting on SME Finance

Today, bank financing for small businesses is more affordable and scalable than ever because of innovative uses of digital technologies and data. In addition, global investment in FinTech companies has also increased from $1 billion in 2008 to an estimated $6 billion in 2014. This digital transformation of SME finance has the potential to significantly expand financial inclusion for the 360-440 million MSMEs worldwide that have unmet credit needs.

This one-day event will bring together over a hundred leaders from international finance institutions (IFIs) and development finance institutions (DFIs). Participants will learn about emerging trends in technology, data analytics and artificial intelligence and discuss how IFIs/DFIs can reach more SMEs and boost their impact. The event will include interactive panels and working groups and provide plenty of opportunity to network with IFI/DFI peers as well as industry leaders.
