During the Global SME Finance Forum 2018, Andrew Watkins-Ball, CEO and Founder of JUMO details how JUMO leverages customer data to ensure optimal service.
Jumo is a technology business that enables banks to get to customers in new and interesting channels. They are in eight countries, most of which are in Africa.
“JUMO integrates with payment providers [in] [order] [to] interact with payments as a starting point. We then take whatever form of customer data we can find...and we use that data to see what we think the customers might need. We then design the products that we then offer to the customer...We try to give the customers the most value so they have the highest return on savings and the lowest cost of borrowing.”
Furthermore, Ball honed in on the value of SMEs’ digital identity. “...I think the equation is really moving to value. If you’re an SME how do you make sure you are growing the value of your digital identity so that you can continue to get better choices that can help you to grow your business or improve your life.”
More than 600 attendees represented 208 institutions and 80 countries at the Forum.
